Wow, we are getting old.

First stop was a layover in LA. We stayed at Cardinal Gardens, carefully explained as not a dorm but a swank suite apartment, on the USC campus. We smoked cigarettes out on the balcony with 19-year-olds, Tyrrell, my sister, and Laura, her roommate. We viewed rave snapshots over the web, heard about the soap opera that is a freshman year. Are we too old to travel around the world? Maybe, but it is too late to turn back now.
